Gary Lee is the managing editor and a key contributor for The Oklahoma Eagle, a stout advocate for the African American community and those that champion equity.

Dr. Jerry Goodwin
Principal
Veteran journalist, former CEO of the Metropolitan Tulsa Urban League, professor of journalism and mass communication at Tulsa Community College and founder of public relatoins firm Goodwin and Grant, Jerry now guides The Eagle’s vision.

John Neal
John Neal, the author, is a former resident of Sand Springs. He is well versed in urban renewal, its uses and abuse, as a former city manager in Oklahoma and departmental consultant for the city of El Paso, Texas. In 2008, he was that city’s planning pirector when the city won multiple awards for its planning accomplishments. He is now retired and resides in Austin, Texas.

M. David Goodwin
A native of Tulsa’s Historic Greenwood District, in his 36th year of storytelling, Goodwin got his start in journalism as a 16-year-old writer after he penned a column for The Oklahoma Eagle. He is a fourth-generation journalist and has served as a newspaper boy, mailroom handler, circulation route manager, production assistant, photographer, copy editor, page designer, reporter, bureau chief, editorial page writer and editor while working at The Dayton (Ohio) Daily News, The Middletown (Ohio) Journal, The Star-Ledger in Newark, N.J., The Courier-Journal in Louisville, USA Today, The Ithaca (N.Y.) Journal and the Eastern Oklahoma Catholic newspapers. He is a graduate of Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan. He is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
