OSBE denied TPS’ request to reconsider July 28 accreditation downgrade.

    • May 2022 – Gov. Stitt signs H.B. 1775 into law.

    • CY 2022 – Vector Solutions developed courseware, “Cultural Competence and Racial Bias”, contextualizing the concepts of inherent and racial bias.

    • Feb. 2022 – Amy Cook, Memorial High School teacher, filed an H.B. 1775 complaint with OSDE

    • OSBE – downgraded TPS accreditation to “Accredited With Warning”.

The Mental Health Of Black Tulsa Is Teetering On The Brink

Twenty percent of Black Oklahomans have mental health conditions, according to the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI), an advocacy organization with an active Oklahoma chapter. That means that one out of every five persons you pass shopping in the aisles at Oasis Fresh Market, eating at Wanda J’s, or gassing up the car at QuikTrip suffers a mental disorder.
