Wanda J’s Next Generation on Greenwood owner Ty Walker has officially announced his election campaign for Tulsa City Council seat District 5. Walker is very passionate when it comes to the City of Tulsa and its surrounding communities. Walker a Tulsa native, is a member of the Republican party, and a licensed minister who wants to see more economic development, which will lead to more jobs in Tulsa.
Walker stated, “With me coming into the city council race, my business expertise and understanding business, my platform is economic growth along with public safety and infrastructure.
Walker graduated from Tulsa McLain High School in 1983. He is a second generation, small business owner, having worked with his mother to start Evelyn’s Soul Food. Not only does Ty serve Tulsa, but he also is a proud disabled veteran that served America for five years in the U.S. Navy, with a deployment to Desert Storm on his service list.
Walker also stated, “The only way a man is able to eat is if a man is able to work and provide for his family. That is what gives a man a sense of purpose.
