The Ellis Walker Woods Memorial Committee (EWWMC) is seeking donations so that it can move forward on building the memorial park.

Mr. Woods was the first principal of Booker T. Washington High School (BTW), whose original site and memorial will be located on what is now the campus of Oklahoma State University Tulsa. Mr. Woods was hired as the principal of Booker T. Washington in 1913 and served until his death in 1948.

A memorial to Mr. Woods has been designed and approved for construction.  This is a project started by the late Albert Edgar Dunn a 1948 graduate of BTW, the North Tulsa Historical Society, and many community leaders.
