J’Parle’ Artist Group Incorporated (JAG Inc.) announces its citywide Pӓrlā Creative Festival. In celebration of the contributions of creatives of color in the city of Tulsa, JAG Inc. is gearing up for its inaugural citywide creative festival. This festival will span over a total of 8 days beginning Sunday, September 18th, concluding on Sunday, September 25th. Each day will highlight at least one creative discipline and offer public programming free of charge to attendees. The week will feature the following activations: ∙
Sunday 9/18/2022- WE EAT!
The Steps to Nowhere, 98 Haskell Place, Outdoor Gallery Opening, featuring public-facing art created by black artists in Tulsa. Partnership with Blackmoon- PUBLIC
(B)Light Opening- Boarded up homes will be turned into public facing works of art.
This is being done in partnership local artists including Awesome Jeremy Collier, 1902 N. Cheyenne Ave., Unity,Theandroggod, 2408 N. MLK Blvd. – PUBLIC
Soiree En Blanc dinner on Greenwood Ave. This is a private sit down dinner to celebrate creatives of the city. The streets will be closed and attendees will dress in white attire. It will be a beautiful space. Featured chefs include Taylor LaTouche, Tiffany Tisdale- Braxton, Tylisha Thompson.
Monday 9/19/2022 – WE MEET!
State of Black Tulsa online forum. 8pm via Facebook.com/JPARLELLC. Topics include HB 1775, Maternity Mortality, and The Arts Speakers include Representative Regina Goodwin, Sterling Matthews of Art4orms and poet, and Omare Jimmerson.
Tuesday 9/20/2022- Partnership with Tulsa Parks
A night of dance highlighting varying styles of dance. The event will begin at 6:30pmand conclude at 8pm. Centennial Park 1028 E. 6th S. Free to the public
Wednesday 9/21/2022- Partnership with Tulsa Parks, and ABC Holistic
Wellness Wednesday is dedicated to promoting positive mental and physical health practices. The morning will beginning with a guided mindfulness meditation lead by Nikenya Hall of ABC Holistic, the evening will include public Zumba class at Lacy Park lead by Bridgette Hennings, and conclude with Sunset Yoga lead by Clarissa Brown..
Thursday 9/22/2022- Partnership with Circle Cinema 7pm-9pm
This night of film will include works by black filmmakers and actors. It will feature films by filmmakers Dennis Delemar, Taylor Finley, Stephanie Alicia Rose, Shaun McGhee, Brandon “Pade” Wade, and Keith “Da Sneak” Daniels.
This red carpet premier event will be hosted by bLERDS writer, director, and Executive Producer Hank Byrd.
This event is FREE TO THE PUBLIC (requires preregistration via https://918parlafest2022.eventbrite.com) and viewer discretion is advised. Parental Guardian advised for a few scenes that feature violence and references to drug use.

o This evening will highlight the creative discipline of fashion and design. The fashion show will feature clothing designs and models of color. The event will take place at 7pm. Free to the Public.Housed in an industrial warehouse compound, WOMPA is Tulsa’s newest creative coworkingcommunity. Art galleries, downtown views, and a spectacular outdoor atrium make WOMPA a must-see destination for creative types seeking workspaces or event venues.
