Due to the COVID 19 pandemic our schedule for the awards show has changed.
The Greenwood Arts & Cultural Society, INC. is excited to announce that it will be holding our announcement party for the 1st Annual Black Wall Street Music Awards at the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame in downtown Tulsa, OK on June 19th, 2020 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m..
The following is the list of categories that a performer or group can be nominated for to receive a BWS Music Award. We are asking the people of Tulsa, and throughout the state of Oklahoma to nominate your favorite artist or groups to receive this honor. If you wish to nominate someone or a group for these award categories we ask that you please list the following on your nomination form;
1.) the category you are nominating the artist or group in first, and then
2.) the artist or groups name you are nominating in that category.

THE NOMINATION CATEGORIES ARE AS FOLLOWS;
ALBUM OF THE YEAR- is awarded to the performer, songwriter(s), and the production team of a full album.
RECORD OF THE YEAR- is awarded to the performer and the production team of a single song.
SONG OF THE YEAR- is awarded to the songwriter(s) of a single song.
BEST NEW ARTIST- is awarded to an artist without reference to a song or album.
BEST NEW YOUNG ARTIST- is awarded to an young artist (18 yrs. or younger) without reference to a song or album.
