For the first time in Miss Black US Ambassador history both the Miss and Teen National titles are captured by the same state. On July 28th 2018 at Impact Event Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Contestants from across the nation competed in a preliminary community service presentation and private interview, fitness, evening gown and on-stage question competition. During the official pageant week, the state ambassadors hosted several events that are geared toward health and wellness, women empowerment and community engagement.
In the teen division finals, Brooklynn Douglas, Miss Black Teen Oklahoma USAM and Miss Black Teen North Carolina USAM, Imani Johnson stood hand in hand. Brookylnns name was called as the 2018 Miss Black Teen US Ambassador. Brooklynn is a senior at Booker T Washington High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Brooklynns platform is: “Not for Sale” Teen Sex Trafficking Education and Awareness
Shortly after Brooklynns name was called. The Miss Division runner ups were named and Oluwakemi Oluwarotimi, Miss Black Oklahoma USAM and Miss Black Mississippi USAM Jaleah Wright stood hand in hand and Oluwakemi Oluwarotimi was announced as the 2018 Miss Black US Ambassador making it a double win for the state of Oklahoma.
Oluwakemi is recent graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma and the former Miss Black University of Central Oklahoma. Oluwakemi’s Platform is STEM GEMS: Inspiring a love for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics in young girls.
Both young women will travel the entire US and overseas sharing their platforms, hosting conferences and empowering the masses.

The Miss Black US Ambassador and Miss Black Teen US Ambassador Scholarship Pageant is a program of Ambassador of Change Inc., a 501c3.
