COMMUNITY AND POLICE LEADERSHIP COLLABORATIVE HOSTS FIRST ANNUAL BLOCK PARTY

The inaugural class of the Community and Police Leadership Collaborative is hosting a “Summer Connection Block Party” on June 10, 2017 at the Dream Center located at 200 West 46th Street North, Tulsa, Okla. The event will last from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event will feature free food, prizes, carnival games, a photo booth, henna tattoos,
face painting, a basketball tournament as well as the premiere of a documentary about the
program experience. The event is free and open to the public.

The Community and Police Leadership Collaborative is joint venture between Leadership
Tulsa and the Tulsa Police Department. The program brought Tulsa Police Department (TPD)
officers and community members together to bridge divides and build bonds between
citizens and those charged with protecting and serving them.

Sponsors include: Leadership Tulsa, Mosaic, the TPD Foundation, and the Anne &
Henry Zarrow Foundation.

            The TPD Foundation’s purpose is to “raise awareness and funds for needs of the TPD that will benefit officers and citizens in the City of Tulsa.”

            The Anne and Henry Zarrow Foundation seeks to alleviate the symptoms of poverty, enrich health and wellness, and empower and inspire community members to improve their lives.
