The Teach For America Greater Tulsa Alumni Board is proud to host its final major event of the school year with Dr. Tiffany Crutcher. After her brother Terence was killed by Officer Betty Shelby in September of 2016, Dr. Crutcher became the founder and president of the Terence Crutcher Foundation. In addition to her daily work in Montgomery, Alabama, she partners with civil rights leaders in Tulsa and across the nation to fiercely advocate for criminal justice and policing reform.
Crutcher has a Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy and owns an Outpatient Physical Therapy Clinic called Rehab CONNECT where she provides Physical Therapy Services to people with functional disabilities associated with disease and illness.
She also serves on the Alabama State University Clinical Advisory Board for the Department of Physical Therapy and is credentialed as Clinical Instructor, Athletic Trainer, and Certified Weight Trainer. She also serves on the advisory board for the HCOP program at Bullock County High School in Union Springs, Ala.
At this event, Dr. Crutcher will share her story, her journey and her wisdom around transforming moments into movements that create change and turning our pain or passion into purpose for our lives.
The Pain to Purpose forum is Saturday, April 14th at 2 p.m. at the Rudisill Library in Tulsa, Okla.
