Cox Business Center begins 2018 with a two-week long private event before the Aim High Academy holds its annual Dream Meet event and hosts Tulsa children interested in gymnastics and dance. The Center then hosts the Chamber’s Annual Meeting before going back to athletics with the National Cheerleader’s Association’s “Oklahoma Classic.” The month ends with a laugh when comedian Steve Treviño brings his “It’s a Love Story” tour to the downtown Tulsa venue’s Assembly Hall.
Aim High Academy Dream Meet / Jan. 12th-14th
Aim High Academy is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping build bright futures for urban children and youth in Tulsa, and providing them with gymnastic and dance opportunities. The annual Dream Meet is held in conjunction with the Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Society as an event celebration and hosts over 450 Oklahoma gymnasts in this fundraising event. Oklahoma Classic 2018 / Jan. 13th
Cox Center Tulsa proudly welcomes the National Cheerleaders Association and the National Dance Association for their annual Oklahoma competition. Division winners and specialty award winners across the entire competition will be recognized. Tickets range from $13-$15 with children seven and under free, and doors open at 7:00 a.m. for the 9:00 a.m. Saturday event in the venue’s arena. Tulsa Regional Chamber Annual Meeting / Jan. 18th
The Tulsa Regional Chamber Annual Meeting will be on January 18 in the Cox Center Tulsa Assembly Hall with more than 1,300 area business leaders, local officials, and citizens in attendance. The meeting will include the formal inauguration of Steve Bradshaw, CEO of BOK Financial Corporation as the 2018 chair of the Board of Directors, an awards presentation, and Bradshaw’s unveiling of the Chamber’s primary initiatives for 2018. Toyland Ball is The Parent Child Center of Tulsa’s annual signature fundraising event. The black-tie gala offers an elegant evening of dinner and dancing, with a live auction helping the Center raise nearly 16% of its total operating budget. A highlight of the Ball is the Guardian Angel Award presentation which honors a person or personal who have made significant contributions to further the Center’s purpose of protecting and nurturing at risk children.
