Def Jam mogul, Russell Simmons, is one of the many celebrities who has been at the center of a sex assault scandal in recent weeks. His kicked on November 19, 2017, after a former model named, Keri Claussen Khalighi, made recent claims against Simmons to L.A. Times.
In 1991, Khalighi went to dinner with Russell Simmons and his friend/video director, Brett Ratner, at New York’s famous Mr. Chow’s. She claims that they then invited her back to Simmons’ apartment to watch a music video they were in the pre-production phase of and that’s when Khalighi says Simmons started pulling off her clothes:
“I looked over at Brett and said ‘help me’ and I’ll never forget the look on his face,” she recalled. “In that moment, the realization fell on me that they were in it together.”
Although Khalighi confessed that she voluntarily performed oral sex on Russell Simmons, she says that she did not want to have vaginal sex with him. Here’s what she claims happened next though:

Russell Simmons Volunteers & Passes Lie Detector Test
Not only did Russell Simmons adamantly deny all claims against him, he volunteered to take a lie detector test, which he recently passed according to his attorneys. Simmons has also asked all of his accusers to take lie detector tests as well. At this point none of them have done so.
Tyrese Shows Major Support For Simmons
Throughout this ordeal, there have been several celebrity supporters of Russell Simmons, but none as boldly spoke up as singer, Tyrese Gibson, did the other day. Although Tyrese steered clear of the allegations against Simmons- smart move since he doesn’t known if any of them are true or not- he still showed his support for the brotha. In a lengthy Instagram tribute to help boost his self-proclaimed “superhero’s” spirits, by displaying his opinion of Russell’s character to the masses, here’s what Tyrese wrote:
