The Booker T. Washington Distinguished Hall of Fame Foundation has named its 2025 honoree. The individuals represent various fields, including arts, business, education, faith, history, and sports. 

The Hall of Fame program is scheduled for April 3 at 6 p.m. at the Greenwood Cultural Center, 322 N. Greenwood Ave. 

The 2025 alumni to be honored are Inez Black (Education), Kevin Lockett (Athletics), Nicole Lynn (Athletics), Sabrina Goodwin-Monday (Business and Professional), William “Bill” Nelson (Arts and Entertainment), J. Kavin Ross (Humanitarian and Service), Reginald “Ice” Terry (Lifetime Achievement), and Pastor LeRon G. West (Humanitarian and Service).

Inez Black, a BTW Class of 1937 graduate, is a former BTW teacher and will be recognized posthumously.

William “Bill” Nelson, a BTW Class of 1992 graduate, is an award-winning lyricist and playwright.

Kevin Lockett, a BTW Class of 1992 graduate, is a former NFL player with the Kansas City Chiefs, Washington Redskins, Jacksonville Jaguars, and New York Jets.

Nicole Lynn, a BTW Class of 2007 graduate, is a president of football at Klutch Sports Group.

Sabrina Goodwin-Monday, a BTW Class of 1979 graduate, is a national sales director for Mary Kay Cosmetics.

J. Kavin Ross, a BTW Class of 1981 graduate, a recognized musician, celebrated photographer, and noted historian of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre, will be acknowledged posthumously.

Rev. LeRon West, a BTW Class of 1969 graduate, is the pastor of Gilcrease Hills Baptist Church.

Reginald Terry, a BTW Class of 1969 graduate, is a volunteer high school football coach and a member of the 1967 AAA (now Class 3A) football championship team with an 11-0 season. 

Scholarships will be awarded to BTW High School senior students. Applicants must complete applications postmarked or submitted by March 26, 2025, at 4 p.m. to Ms. Zenobia Mayo, The Booker T. Washington High School Distinguished Hall of Fame, 1514 East Zion Street, Tulsa, OK  74106. Late applications will not be accepted. Seniors can apply through their Canvas and Xello accounts.
