Donald Ray Rentie was born September 2, 1942. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War (1964-1967); ending his tour with an Honorable Discharge. Donald Ray worked for Veteran Affairs as a Senior Benefits Counselor. In 2007 he retired, after assisting thousands of veterans and their families to successfully obtain their benefits; something Don continued after retirement. July 20, 2017, he completed God’s assignment at Forrest Hills Assisting Living Facility. Donald Ray Rentie leaves his treasured only child, Delanie Dawn Rentie, his beloved only sibling, sister Shedra Rentie-Hicks, the apple of his eyes, grandson Matthew Rentie, future grand-daughter Journey Jones, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Donald Ray Rentie will be missed by all that were blessed with his presence.
