Langston University’s annual homecoming celebrations will take place Oct. 15-21 with a week filled with exciting events for students, alumni and community members. Events will include a Gospel Fest, concerts, sporting events and a parade. Members of the media are invited to attend any or all of these events. Please let us know if you plan to attend. The Homecoming Gospel Fest will be hosted by George Potts Young and will feature performances from Jovonta Patton and Jekalyn Carr as well as performances from the LU Gospel Choir and The Birthing Room Worship Team.

LU-Tulsa invites everyone to join the fun for an evening of live music, food trucks, face painting, bounce houses and an open mic competition.

LU-OKC invites everyone to come check out the new Oklahoma City campus for a fun night of food, games and face painting.

Langston University will crown Parris Evans and Kayla Robinson as Mister and Miss LU, respectively.

LU’s Homecoming will culminate in a day full of activity on Saturday. The day will start with Langston’s Homecoming Parade, a fun and energetic event that will be emceed by Langston’s very own Dean of Students, Joshua Busby. After the parade, tailgating will commence. All tickets for tailgating spots sold out in July. The Langston Lions will face off against Arkansas Baptist College in the Homecoming football game at 2 p.m.
Langston University will conclude its Homecoming activities with a post-game concert from the Ying Yang Twinz immediately following the football game.
