This will be a night to remember fundraiser for the Small Business Women’s Center in partnership with Small Business Administration and U.S. Chambers of Commerce and The Greenwood Chamber of Commerce.
December 11, 2021, at 6:00 pm inside the River Spirit Casino and Resort Grand Ballroom located at 8330 Riverside Dr., Tulsa, Oklahoma.
This spectacular even will honor the World Class Women of Black Wallstreet, the first elected Black Female Mayor, Women of the Creek Nation, the mother of the Sit-In Movement along with the mother of the Civil Rights Movement.
Event will be hosted by Corey Taylor and award-winning Journalist Chera Kimiko-Zoellner.
Distinguished honorees Leila Foley Davis, Rose Washington, Martha Vaughan, Tulsa County Commisioner Karen Keith and First Lady Natalie Todd will be in attendance.
The incredible night will feature a candlelight ceremony honoring the life and legacy of the late Senator Maxine Horner.
Gala includes appearances and performances by R/B legend Johnny Gill along with Bishop Carlton Pearson, his songstress daughter Majeste Pearson along with the Tulsa Opera.
Dr. Freeman Culver, CEO/ President of the 95-year-old Greenwood Chamber of Commerce states the chamber has the longest track record of Advocacy of black business advancement and growth of any chamber in the country. Culver stated “We believe that the time has come, and the nation is ready, to rebuild Black Wall Streets across America.”
Culver also said “Now is the time to unveil the secrets of why Black Wall Street was the most affluent community in the United States and share it with the world. During our celebration of World Class Women, we will unveil our five-year plan to sanction Black Wall Streets affiliate cities of which we have national chapters and a global presence through our partnership with the World Conference of Mayors, Historic Black Towns and settlements Alliance and Black Walk Street USA. These chapters have adopted our blueprint for economic growth built around an ecosystem of black merchants and our allies.”
