Governor Kevin Stitt said Oklahoma is well on its way to phase 2 of reopening in less than 10 days.

But in order for that to happen, he said people need to continue to practice physical distancing.

Phase 2 of reopening would mean bars could reopen, and events like weddings, funerals, and sports could resume.

Currently, the Governor said Oklahoma is ranked 8th lowest in he nation for positive cases per-capita, but the governor believes we still need to be on alert.

“Just because we’re in good shape, and the data continues to trend in our favor does not mean we can take our foot off the gas” Governor Stitt said.

The governor encouraged everyone to get tested.
