Does Baltimore have their eye on yet another Alabama prospect?
Just one day out from the draft, ESPN’s Jamison Hensley is reporting that the Ravens have been showing “increasing interest” in Josh Jacobs, the running back prospect from Alabama.

Ravens have been showing increasing interest in Alabama RB Josh Jacobs, who is considered a first-round prospect. John Harbaugh has said that Ravens could add a playmaking back in this draft, and Baltimore is going to be one of the most committed teams to the run this season.
Jacobs is widely-regarded as the best overall running back prospect in this draft class and is expected to be a first-round pick, more specifically somewhere in the 20’s. There’s a good chance he’s available when the Ravens are on the clock at 22, but would they actually use that pick on Jacobs?
While he’s talented and possesses a dynamic skill set, using a first-round selection on a running back, when the team already has Mark Ingram, Gus Edwards, and Kenneth Dixon, would be a bit of a head-scratcher.
This reported “interest” could be a smokescreen of sorts, which are common around this time leading up to the draft, to try and get a running-back needy team to trade up for Jacobs, which could cause a coveted prospect to fall to Baltimore.
We won’t know for certain whether or not the Ravens interest in Josh Jacobs holds any validity until tomorrow night, when the NFL draft kicks off at 8:00 PM.
