Following a strong turnout at the first three Community Conversations events in South, East, and West Tulsa, Mayor Monroe Nichols, members of the Tulsa City Council, and other City leaders will continue the series in Midtown on Thursday, May 15.
Following updates from City leaders, residents will have the opportunity for one-on-one conversations with City department leaders and staff.
The Midtown Community Conversation will be hosted by Mayor Monroe Nichols, District 4 City Councilor Laura Bellis, District 9 City Councilor Carol Bush, and Tulsa City Auditor Nathan Pickard on Thursday, May 15, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at OU-Tulsa’s Founders Hall, 4502 E. 41st St., Tulsa, OK, 74135.
“This series has been a tremendous time hearing from residents, and I’m excited to continue our community conversation series in Midtown,” Mayor Monroe Nichols said. “I look forward to hearing more about the issues that matter most to Midtown residents and learning how we can work together to shape a future that honors our shared values while meeting the challenges ahead.”
“I am looking forward to taking part in the Mayor’s Midtown Community Conversation and welcome the opportunity to discuss ways to prevent homelessness before it occurs through early intervention,” Councilor Bellis said. “I will also be highlighting the array of immediate resources to address homelessness and mental health, and giving an update on downtown public safety. I hope to see District 4 residents there!”
“I appreciate the Mayor’s ongoing commitment to ensuring all Tulsans have the chance to hear his plans for addressing some of our most pressing issues,” Councilor Bush said. “This is also a fantastic opportunity for the community to meet with their elected officials and City staff to share ideas, ask questions, and learn more about what’s happening in Tulsa.”
