TALK OF GREENWOOD

The U. S. Black Chambers has announced that it is receiving nominations of young professionals, innovators, leaders, disruptors, and business visionaries for the annual Power 50 Under 40 award. The deadline for nominations is Aug. 30

To qualify, the candidates must be between 18 and 40 as of Sept. 25, 2024. Additional criteria include the candidate’s social impact, corporate position, company revenue and growth, company size, personal backstory, advocacy, and cultural influence as factors to be evaluated by judges. Self-nominations are welcomed.

According to USBC, the award honors those who excel in their respective industries, set new standards, and inspire others to follow their example. By spotlighting these trailblazers, we aim to foster innovation and excellence while enriching our cultural landscape.

USBC said it invites the public to nominate exceptional individuals who are shaping their industries and driving progress. Nominations will help USBC to celebrate and amplify the voices of the next generation of Black leaders.

“The Future of Black Leadership: Innovate, Elevate, Collaborate!” award ceremony will be held in Washington, D. C. on Oct. 11.

The award is sponsored by Walmart and Molson Coors.
