Booker T. Washington Alumni Class Of 1964 Celebrates Diamond Jubilee Reunion

The Oklahoma Eagle Newswire

The Booker T. Washington Alumni Class of 1964 is thrilled to announce their Diamond Jubilee Reunion, taking place from June 12 to June 16, 2024. This momentous occasion will feature a variety of activities, including a visit to the newly established Greenwood Rising, John Hope Franklin Park, and Ellis Walker Woods Memorial allowing alumni to explore and reflect on the historic significance of the area. We are so pleased that we have selected our reunion during Juneteenth so while here we classmates will enjoy the festivities and get a flavor for what our community enjoy every year.

A special reminiscing session will be held on Thursday, where attendees will have the opportunity to look back on the past six decades, sharing memories and reconnecting with old friends.  Diamond Jubilee Reunion Board Member, Mike Mims, says, “this is not the reunion to miss.  We are all blessed to be able to gather one more time. I’m so excited to see everyone from across the United States come home”

Highlighting the celebration, a reunion dance open to the public will be held on June 14, 2024, 9pm – 1:00 pm at the historic Big Ten Ballroom. All are welcome to celebrate with us to dance the night away in honor of this remarkable milestone.  Contact any alumni class member for ticket information.
