The Tulsa Regional STEM Alliance has announced its annual awards for innovative teachers, administrators, and school district leaders in Oklahoma. The work of the educators will be recognized for inspiring students and expanding their access to STEM education topics and careers.
The Siegfried Excellence in STEM Education Awards will celebrate exceptional educators who are making a difference in their respective communities. A $25,000 prize is awarded to a teacher in the following categories: elementary educator (Grades: PreK-5), middle school (6-8), and high school (9-12), and a Leadership Award for an administrator or a school district leader. Additionally, one finalist will also be named the Siegfried STEM Educator of the Year. The awardee will receive $10,000 in prizes and grants.
Nominees are identified as pioneering integrated STEM teaching methods, achieving outstanding student outcomes, and embodying excellence in the classroom. Nominations will be accepted until May 29 or apply directly by June 2.
Previous nominees have made immense impacts on students through creative lesson plans, community partnerships, and nurturing curiosity. The winners will be honored at the organization’s annual Flight Night fundraiser event.
Tulsa Regional STEM Alliance states, “Together, we can uplift our most exceptional STEM educators and inspire more students to embrace these critical fields.”
