Bamboo Financial Partners offered a session on how women can take control of their finances. The name of the program was “Fall into Finances: A Women’s Finance Event.” The description of the program on the website said, “This event will have a bit of education, a little wine, and a lot of fun!”
The workshop presented topics on the specific complexities women face when it comes to saving, investing, and preparing for retirement. It included a presentation on the topics followed by a question-and-answer session.
“We (women)…live longer, make less income, and are more likely to encounter career interruptions,” said Jasmine Renae Ball, founder of Bamboo Financial Partners, and who is the only African American Certified Financial Planner in Oklahoma.
A bonus session was given on how to make wreaths for the fall season after the workshop. Ball said she is available to visit with other groups.
