Rush Fest Music Festival Announces 2022 Lineup

The Oklahoma Eagle Newswire

Rush Fest is an island-themed music festival featuring Tulsa artists and emerging talent on the national level. We provide a platform for creatives to showcase their talent by attracting brilliant minds, sparking ideas, fostering relationships, and championing entrepreneurship with the love and support of Tulsa. In addition, Rush Fest features poetry, painting, dance, vending and more! The festival will kick off Friday July 8th from 6 PM – 2 AM and conclude with an all-white musical affair on Saturday July 9th from 6 PM – 2 AM in the Kendall Whittier Main district. Venues include 473 and Heirloom Rustic Ales.

Rush Fest Music Festival is curated by Fire in Little Africa Artist (FILA), South By Southwest performer, singer/songwriter, and serial entrepreneur Tea Rush. Tea is a soulful songstress born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is also known as “Bo Diddley” named after her father, blues musician Charles Rushing, who helped influence her to pursue a musical career.

“For the last five years Rush Fest Music Festival has provided a platform for local artists to showcase their talent in front of thousands of people. I am grateful to be able to feature the amazing artists of our city, and from across the nation by curating an atmosphere full of love, togetherness, and beautiful music right here in Tulsa’s backyard. There aren’t many music festivals curated by Black women. Rush Fest allows me to integrate all that I’ve learned, my musical gifts, and my father’s legacy into a spectacular and wide-ranging experience that spans over two-days and multiple venues.”
