Tulsa’s iconic “Center of the Universe” tourist attraction has seen better days.
Once surrounded by a path of bricks, gaping holes now wait where bricks have gone missing over the years.
In an attempt to fix the holes, the city filled the crevices with asphalt, much to the displeasure of many Tulsans.
However, Tulsa City Councilor Kara Joy McKee says plans are already in place to renovate the attraction.
As part of the Vision Tulsa project, some funding has already been acquired for the project, but more money is needed.
McKee says the remaining funds will likely have to be raised by the public.
