“2020 National Kindness Speech Contest” Winner Orion Jean Collecting Books For Tulsa Dream Center

The Oklahoma Eagle Newswire

Orion Jean is a 10-year-old Texas student, on a national mission to help spread literacy.

After winning the “2020 National Kindness Speech Contest” Orion decided to use his cash prize as “seed money” to develop a series of initiatives appropriately named “Race To Kindness.”

His first campaign, “Race to 500 Toys,” provided over 600 new toys to Children’s Health Hospital (Dallas). For his second race, the “Race to 100,000 Meals,” Orion partnered with Tango Tab, a non-profit organization and his community to provide over 1000,000 meals to people across the country. On May 1st, 2021, Orion announced taking on the challenge once more with his current campaign “Race To 500,000 Books!”

Orion wants to spread his kindness near and far. He’s decided to bring his “Race to Kindness” to Tulsa to distribute FREE books collected from his “Race to 5000,000 Books.” You can join us at Tulsa Dream Center on August 28th from 10am-12pm.

New and gently loved books donations can be made until August 26th at:
