Vice President-elect Kamala Harris (pictured) appeared on ABC’s “Good Morning America (GMA)” on Wednesday (December 16).

During her exclusive interview, the outgoing junior U.S. Senator from California wanted to highlight the ongoing urgency in Congress of getting an emergency stimulus relief package signed into law. Harris believes the government ought to be assisting people who are in dire economic straits. The 2020 U.S. health and economic crisis continues to rage on harder than ever.

Harris also said that as Vice President, she wants to break down the bitter partisan lines and strategic differences that are stagnating progress on Capitol Hill and in the White House. The challenges Harris and President-elect Joe Biden face appear, at the moment, to be very daunting. Both of the country’s two major parties look to severely be in disarray following the November election.

But Harris carried herself well on “GMA.” She was upbeat, lucid, and seemed very eager to take on the massive obstacles that face her and Mr. Biden.

“The people have a right to expect that their leaders in congress see them and act in their best interest. You know, I can speak for Joe and me: We were elected to do a job. We were elected to do a job, and we intend to do that job. And we intend to bring everybody along who wants to do the job with us,” she said during her interview.
