This season of the NBA looked nothing like anything I’ve seen in my basketball career before. And even though it’s over, our work continues. Today is National Vote Early Day and if we really want to see change happen, we must go vote for it.
In the sports world, we always talk about our “why.” Why do you play? Why do you train? And the reason why we vote is to make a better future for the next generation.
That’s why I joined When We All Vote as a co-chair and why I challenged all my NBA teammates to get registered to vote.
Now, it’s time to vote. Today’s National Vote Early Day and I’m asking you to vote early and get your #VotingSquad to do it with you.
We have real issues to address in our communities — especially as our country continues to grapple with the coronavirus pandemic and racial injustice. Change can be slow, but voting is real. To fix what’s not working for us in this country, we have to start at the polls.
But not everyone sees voting that way. So we have to educate one another. Think about all the group chats you’re in. We need to talk about how important every election is — from the president to your sheriff.
The last day to vote is November 3rd and more than 50 million people have already cast their ballots. You can join them.

Counting on you,
Chris Paul, Co-Chair
