Tyler Lockett Donates Over $20,000 In Goods To Help Tulsa Homeless

Former Booker T. Washington High School star and Kansas State All- American Tyler Lockett through his Light It Up Foundation, donated over $20,000 in goods and merchandise to the Tulsa Day Center for help with the homelessness. For several years, Tyler has been an advocate for the homeless and people in need of assistance.

In Seattle, Tyler is highly active working with organizations that assist and provide services for the homeless.  Tyler has been involved in several events in Seattle and Tulsa. Tyler is in his sixth (6th ) year with Seattle Seahawks.  Tyler’s “Light It Up Foundation” mainly focus on youth development, education, and community service.

The Tulsa Day Center serve those who are experiencing or at-risk for homelessness.  Through their work, they treat both the symptom and the cause of homelessness and pursuing a future where every Tulsan has a home.

“Tulsa Day Center clients will benefit greatly from the generous donation of warm clothes, as well as underwear and socks, duffle bags and back packs, from Tyler Lockett’s Light It Up Foundation,” said Monica Martin, Director of Development. “We are so very thankful for the donation of healthy snacks, too! Valuable donations like these allow us to serve more of our neighbors who are experiencing homelessness, Thank you!”

Tyler has made a commitment to spending time to find positive ways to make a difference in his community.
