Multiple churches in Tulsa now have the words “Black Lives Matter” painted nearby.

The yellow letters can be found in several parking lots.

The painting process started Monday evening when supporters first started painting at All Souls Unitarian Church off of Peoria.

Church leaders shared the message and their reason to support Black Lives Matter Wednesday at noon during a news conference.

Ryan Rhoades, a Tulsa activist, says it’s exciting to see the message get spread beyond the Greenwood District. Rhoades helped create the original BLM mural back in June.
