City of Tulsa Employee School Updates
The City of Tulsa is looking at various measures on how it can help employees navigate the changes to the upcoming school year. Currently, the City is ensuring employees are aware of FMLA benefits provided by the Families First Coronavirus Response Act. Additionally, employees with children are being allowed flexibility as to when required furlough hours can be taken; flexible work schedules can be taken where feasible; and remote work and telecommuting options are available to certain employees when feasible.
Financial Navigators Launched
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected everyone, and many Tulsans are struggling with the financial strain caused by loss of business, furloughs, layoffs and more. For this reason, the City of Tulsa, in partnership with Goodwill Industries of Tulsa, has launched a new Financial Navigator program. Through this no-cost service, Tulsans can connect remotely with a trained Financial Navigator for one-on-one guidance on managing their financial issues.
