To minimize the impacts of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on park patrons, Tulsa County Parks is implementing closures expected to reinforce social distancing and reduce large public gatherings.
Playgrounds and outdoor exercise equipment will be closed to the public beginning Friday, March 27, 2020 until further notice. Parks and trails will remain open for walking, hiking and enjoying the green spaces. County park staff will be placing signage and barriers around structures at Haikey Creek Park, LaFortune Park, Chandler Park, O’Brien Park, Triangle Park, and Mack Taylor Park.
“We encourage the public to go outside and enjoy our trails and green spaces,” Tulsa County Parks Director Vince Trinidad said. “Please follow the CDC guidelines of social distancing and avoiding gatherings of 10 or more. We are working daily so that our Parks system will provide a benefit, as we all do our part to stay healthy.”
All Tulsa County Departments are strictly adhering to the direction of the Tulsa Health Department and Centers for Disease Control guidelines.
