Tulsa Public Schools superintendent Dr. Deborah Gist posted videos on Facebook early Monday morning to address teachers, staff, and high school seniors.

Gist says there’s nothing official right now — but she doesn’t students will come back to classrooms this school year.

Gist says the district is working to make plans for a virtual district if classes don’t resume like normal — including what that means for support staff. They are being paid at this point.

Gist says she feels bad for the graduating class who might miss out on some milestone events, but the district is trying to take care of them.
