Osage Casinos To Increase Health Measures At All Properties

Osage Casinos is increasing health measures after the first case of coronavirus was confirmed in Tulsa county on Friday.

Following the guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control, casino staff will implement new proactive health practices to ensure its facilities and patrons are kept safe from the potential outbreak of COVID-19, known as the coronavirus.

“We want to be sure we have a plan in place, and we want to take every measure to ensure we do not spread any illnesses to our staff or patrons,” said Osage Casinos CEO Bryon Bighorse in a news release. “We are following the guidelines from the CDC, and we are committed to playing our part in keeping everyone in northeastern Oklahoma as healthy as possible.”

  • Osage Casinos will ask employees who show any symptoms of illness to stay home and will send home any employee who experiences any symptoms while working.
  • The casino will make hand sanitizer available throughout each gaming floor for use by guests and employees.
  • Osage Casinos will conduct hourly sanitation regimens for each gaming floor that will clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

“We will continue to monitor the outbreak daily and make additional suggestions as warranted based on information gathered from the CDC and local reliable sources,” Bighorse said in the release. “If additional steps need to be taken to ensure the virus does not spread further in the Tulsa region, we will be sure to announce those quickly as well.”
