OHS Black Heritage Committee: The Freedom Trail Tour May 10–15, 2020

The Oklahoma Historical Society Black Heritage Committee is organizing a tour of civil rights sites in Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Alabama. The five-day trip will depart from the Oklahoma History Center on the morning of Sunday, May 10, and return the evening of Friday, May 15. There are a limited number of seats available, so use the registration form to reserve your spot today.

Tour locations will include Little Rock Central High School, Arkansas; the National Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Motel, Memphis, Tennessee; the Legacy Museum and National Memorial for Peace and Justice, Montgomery, Alabama; Edmund Pettis Bridge and National Voting Rights Museum and Institute, Selma, Alabama; and the Natchez Museum of African American History and Culture, Mississippi.

Registration includes lodging, museum admissions, and travel coach. Meals are not included in registration. Village Travel will provide the coach for this relaxing tour. The cost for registration with double-occupancy rooms is $800, and $950 for single-occupancy rooms. For more information, please contact Larry O’Dell at lodell@okhistory.org.
