Morton Comprehensive Health Services Will Provide Marketplace Health Insurance Enrollment

Morton Comprehensive Health Services will provide Marketplace Health Insurance enrollment during regular office hours at its main clinic, 1334 N. Lansing Ave., through Dec. 15. Also, Morton will offer additional opportunities for enrollment assistance on two Saturdays,    Nov. 16 and Dec. 14 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.  There is no charge for this service.

Morton has certified staff to assist individuals applying for or renewing their health care insurance through the Marketplace exchange.

In addition, through the Ryan White HIV/AIDS program, Morton will offer Marketplace enrollment services for individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Included in this HIV/AIDS program, Morton will provide specific information on coverage for medical care and essential support services.

“Morton understands the value of individuals having health care coverage. Morton’s mission has been to increase access to health care and to improve health outcomes since 1921. Assisting Tulsans with Marketplace enrollment is a great opportunity to support their efforts to obtain health care insurance,” said Susan Savage, CEO of Morton.

Medicare enrollment assistance is available through Dec. 7.

Affordable Care Act/Marketplace Enrollment

The health care law makes affordable health care coverage possible for more people. A key goal is to insure Americans who have not been able to afford or access health coverage while promoting preventive care for many people and assuring an individual’s and his/her family good health and well-being. Morton provides free one-on-one technical support and assistance.

Ryan White HIV/AIDS program

According to the Health Resources and Services Administration of U.S. Department of Human Services website, the Ryan White HIV/AIDS program provides a comprehensive system of HIV primary medical care, essential support services, and medication for people living with HIV to improve health outcomes and reduce HIV transmission among hard-to-reach populations.
