Glory Wells has been invited to join Phi Kappa Phi, one of the nation’s most respected collegiate honor societies.
Membership in Phi Kappa Phi is one of the highest honors Oklahoma State University can bestow and provides lifelong recognition of the academic excellence in which Wells has achieved during her undergraduate years at Oklahoma State University.
The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Alpha, the oldest and most prestigious collegiate honor society. Phi Kappa Alpha inducts students from all academic disciplines recognizing the top 10 percent and professional students, top 10 percent of seniors, and the top 7.5 percent of second semester juniors in each college. This is one of the highest academic honors available to collegiate students nationwide.
Wells has also been selected to President’s Leadership Society (PLS) is a group of high caliber students who will receive recognition, opportunities, and mentoring during their time at OSU-Tulsa. PLS students will be recognized in literature and the OSU web site as an elite leadership group. As a PLS student, Wells will receive special assistance with career and leadership development, be introduced to prominent OSU alumni, provided with opportunities to network with Tulsa leaders, and attend seminars on business etiquette, resume building, interviewing, and more. PLS students will also receive a polo shirt identifying them as a unique group of individuals on the OSU- Tulsa campus. Acceptance into PLS is an honor, and by invitation only.
Wells has managed to obtain the notable honors while managing her grandmothers soul food restaurant “Wanda J’s Next Generation on Greenwood” a perfectionist at cooking also. Wells is on the fast tract to success, while blessing the appetites of so many of her customers in the restaurant, she can often be found cooking and studying at the Greenwood location. A perfectionist at portioning her passions the sky has no limits Wells cannot obtain.
Wells has been invited attend the initiation banquet on Thursday, November 21st at 6:30 p.m. in the Student Union Ballroom on the OSU- Stillwater campus. Recognition at the banquet provides a public acknowledgement of Wells academic accomplishments.
