A Needs Assessment Public Hearing for the City of Tulsa Five-Year HUD (U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development) Consolidated Plan 2020-2024 is scheduled for Thursday, July 18, at 5 p.m. in the City Council Chamber on the second floor of City Hall, 175 E. Second St.
This Consolidated Plan is a document written by the City of Tulsa describing the housing needs of low- and moderate-income residents, outlining strategies to meet the needs and listing all resources available to implement the strategies. The plan is required by HUD for the City of Tulsa to receive HUD Community Planning and Development funds.
These funds include Community Development Block Grants, the Home Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), Emergency Shelter or Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA), as well as any new programs added by HUD.
The City of Tulsa HUD Community Development Committee will conduct this hearing to gather comments from Tulsans to determine the needs and goals for this plan.
