KAMERON CATER SALUTED THE LATE RAPPER THURSDAY AT THE STAPLES CENTER.
Lauren London’s son Kameron Cater fondly remembered Nipsey Hussle Thursday as he spoke in remembrance at the slain rapper’s memorial service, held inside the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Carter, London’s son with rapper Lil Wayne, told the 20,000-seat stadium that following his tragic death, Hussle appeared to him in a dream and the pair shared a hug.
“He stepped up right behind me. He said ‘What up killa,’ cause that’s my nickname to him. I turned around and I yelled his name and I gave him a hug, and shortly he was gone,” Carter, dressed in a royal blue suit, began.
Carter then went on to say that Hussle, whose birth name was Ermias Asghedom, told him what heaven was like.
“Ermias told me what Heaven was like. He told me it was paradise,” he described.
To end his tribute to a man that held a special place in his heart, Carter led the crowd in a special shoutout to L.A.’s hero.
“In the morning, Ermias would yell ‘respect’ out the window. So on my count of three, I want everybody to yell respect,” he instructed.
Respect indeed.
