The historical First Baptist Church North Tulsa, located at 1414 North Greenwood Avenue, Tulsa OK, celebrates its 119th Anniversary on Sunday, November 18th, 2018.  The theme for the Anniversary taken from Psalms 23:1 -6 is “All I Need is You Lord”.  Celebration services begin at 11:00 a.m.

It is with honor and congratulatory wishes that Pastor Anthony L. Scott and First Lady, Kelly D. Scott who will preside over the celebration, extend greetings with the joy of the Lord.  The couple is honored and counts it a privilege to be a part of this historic celebration.  “The rich history of First Baptist Church North Tulsa is a true testimony to the faith that our founding members had in God when they embarked on this journey in 1899.”

The guest speaker will be Pastor Scott’s childhood friend, and well known revival preacher Reverend Darian J. Jones.  He has been the pastor of Prospect Hill Baptist Church since 2009.  He currently serves as the Board Chairman of the Berean District Baptist Association in St. Louis.

As one might expect the worship service will be filled with musical praise renditions from the Mass Choir, the Praise team and solo arrangements by Reverend Ricky McNeal, Pastor of First Baptist Church, Purcell, Oklahoma; Deacon Russell Davis and Caesar Latimer, Jr.  The service will also include recognition of the Church’s Trailblazers presented by Deacon Manuel Peeples, Jr. and Deaconess Laura Peeples; a historical litany of the church recited by Reverend James Caligone, III; recognition of the newest and oldest members presented by Antionette Jackson Hazley; and a memorial tribute to members who passed away since the last Church Anniversary presented by Velma Scott and Latrice Caligone.

The service will be followed by a dinner in the church’s Stalnaker Hall at 1:00 p.m. with church family and their guests.  Reverend and First Lady Scott extend an invitation to all of the church’s friends and the Tulsa community at large to celebrate its special day and to be ever mindful of the mighty God we serve!
