The McDonald’s Restaurant located at the corner of East Pine St. & North Peoria Ave in Tulsa recently completed a major makeover that resulted in some high-tech additions designed to streamline service, accuracy and customer satisfaction. Owner/operators Michael and Luz Gentry hosted a preview party at the restaurant on Monday October 15th.
This restaurant was undergoing a remodel and upgrade in February 2018 and was less than a week from opening when a devastating fire destroyed the building and its contents.
The reconstruction project was completed last week. The restaurant is a prototype for the next generation of McDonald’s advanced technology and includes:
Digital ordering kiosks and table service. Double Drive-Thru lanes with digital menu boards. Online ordering through McDonald’s Mobile App. Advanced kitchen with 4-sided prep table and conveyor belt to increase production speed. New convee ovens that cook with both convection and steam to create a more flavorful product. An interactive play area for children with touch screen game tables.
It is the first McDonald’s restaurant of its kind in Oklahoma.
Community leaders and government officials in attendance at the grand opening celebration were State Representative Regina Goodwin, Tulsa Councilwoman Vanessa Hall-Harper, Tulsa County Commissioner Mike Craddock and members of the Tulsa Chamber of Commerce.
