City of Tulsa Labor Day Closings

City Hall and other City facilities will be closed Monday, Sept. 3, for Labor Day. Public safety and mission-critical operations, however, will operate as normal. Residents who need assistance with a water or sewer problem may call the following 24-hour emergency numbers: water – (918) 596-9488, and sewer – (918) 586-6999.

Residential refuse, recycling, green waste and bulky waste will not be collected on Monday, Sept. 3, because of the holiday. Many customers will experience a change in their collection day(s), according to the following schedule:

For customers with once-a-week collection services, Monday customers will be collected on Tuesday; Tuesday customers will be collected on Wednesday; Wednesday customers will be collected on Thursday; Thursday customers will be collected on Friday, and Friday customers will be collected on Saturday. For customers with twice-a-week collection services, Monday and Thursday customers will be collected on Tuesday and Friday; Tuesday and Friday customers will be collected on Wednesday and Saturday; Wednesday and Saturday customers will be collected on Thursday and Saturday.

The City of Tulsa Mulch Site at 2100 N. 145th East Ave. will be closed Monday, Sept. 3, for Labor Day. It will reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 4, to resume its daily schedule of 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding City holidays.

The City of Tulsa Animal Welfare Shelter at 3031 N. Erie Ave. also will be closed on Labor Day, Sept. 3. On Tuesday, Sept. 4, the shelter will reopen for its normal schedule: weekdays from noon to 6 p.m., Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m., and closed Sundays.

Tulsa Parks offices and community centers will be closed Monday, Sept. 3, but the parks’ outdoor facilities (except pools) will be open. Red Bud Valley Nature Preserve and the Oxley-Yetter Interpretive Building will be closed Monday, but Oxley Nature Center trails will be open.

Mohawk Park Golf Course and Page Belcher Golf Course will be open on Labor Day, along with Tulsa Zoo. Gilcrease Museum and Tulsa Garden Center will be closed on Monday, Sept. 3, according to their usual schedules. Tulsa Performing Arts Center offices will be closed on Labor Day, but ticket sales will be available at www.tulsapac.com

Tulsa Transit will not provide bus service on Labor Day.
