The City of Langston will be hosting its annual Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday June 16 from 11am-11pm

The City of Langston will be hosting its annual Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday June 16 from 11am-11pm at the T.G. Green Park located at 524 West Bond Street.

There will be plenty of activities for everybody to enjoy. It will kick-off with a community softball game between Langston Citizens and Langston University Faculty and Staff.

There will be a lunch after the game; the menu will consist of hamburgers hot dogs, chips, and drinks. There will also be a Kids Zone that will feature a Smoothie Bike, Moon Bounce and Water Slide. There will also be a domino tournament.

Langston Juneteenth T-shirts will also be sold. The prices range from $20 to $22

During the evening, there will be live entertainment. The featured performances will be DJ “Big E” of Oklahoma City, Harold Jefferson and The ShoBiz Band also of Oklahoma City, and the Golden Langston Legacy Lioness Dancers.

Tevin’s Home Cooking Restaurant will cater the dinner. Financial donations are appreciated for anyone who wants to eat.

Charlotte Harris, who is the Langston Town Administrator is looking forward to this event.

She said, “Come out and join in the fun. Another exciting year of celebration. We are excited to see the celebration continued here in the Town of Langston City”.
