OK School Shutdown: Businesses Offer Deals To Local Teachers

By Eagle Newswire

As a show of support for Oklahoma teachers preparing to protest for better education funding this week, local businesses are offering discounts.

After hard days of protesting at the State Capitol, many businesses and organizations have step up to the occasion of softening the blow for teachers during the Teacher Walkout.  Mazzio’s Pizza Italian Eatery invited educators for a free buffet treat at their numerous locations in Tulsa and surrounding area. Mazzio’s founder, the late Ken Selby was an educator before he opened his first pizza parlor.  Every Tuesday evening, teachers are able to take advantage of the free dinner until April 24.
