The Oklahoma Black Business Expo is teaming up with four-time Emmy Award- winning show “Shark Tank ” to reignite the fire of inclusive economics and give business owners a chance to be featured on the show.
Casting directors will host a casting-call for startups and entrepreneurs to pitch their unique business idea in order to jump into the “Shark Tank” that will be televised on ABC. All business types and industries are welcome for this incredible opportunity.
The Oklahoma Black Business Expo is meant to highlight the 13,905 Black owned businesses (U.S Census Bureau 2012 Survey) in Oklahoma as well as to inspire the next generation and offer resources that assist in building a successful brand and business.
“It is an honor for Shark Tank to want to team up for their casting call event,” Black Business Expo Creator Asa Leveaux of the Leveaux Group, Inc said. “To have the Black Business Expo and the casting call under the same roof presents an amazing opportunity for all business owners no matter their color, gender, or orientation, which is ultimately the goal in business.”
These amazing events kick off Saturday, April 14, at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City at 10am. Wristbands to see “Shark Tank” producers will be distributed from 9am-11am with interviews beginning at 10am. The casting call is available to anyone in the country and this event is free and open to the general public. Due to the need there will be a time set aside to receive business workshops and musical selections on the Empowerment Stage throughout the event.
