A New Year’s Eve Celebration titled “Time To Change” is the collaborative efforts of several small businesses and many individuals to demonstrate that regardless of the negative news reports of senseless murders, lies, scandals, and division in our communities and nation; Tulsans from many races, backgrounds and cultures will come together with a common goal of celebration: not only for the new year, but celebration of life as well as an exhibition of genuine respect, a mutual expression of kindness toward each other, and synergistic collaboration.
Event activities include but are not limited to dinner from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., a book signing (“Time to Change” by Trisha W. White @amazon.com), photographs by Glamorous Photography, a tribute to our most deserving citizens: Our Heroes, Veterans (must pre-register), performances by some of Tulsa’ best karaoke talent (Alex Angles, Holly Cobb, Kathryn Grace, Teresa Myers, Juan Carlos Remirez, Hearthon Thompson, to name a few) and a solo instrumental performance, video production by DJ Isis, music by Big Country and the Keepen’ It Real Band (10:00 p.m.), and a 12:00 a.m. Ball Drop.
This event is scheduled to take place on December 31, 2017, 7:00 p.m., at the Okapi Center, 2550 W. Edison Street., Tulsa, OK. The collaborated efforts of the small businesses and all the individuals responsible for making this event successful would like Tulsa to also be recognized for a small fraction of the good its citizens have to offer.
