MORTON TO OFFER FLU SHOTS

The Oklahoma Eagle Newswire

Morton Comprehensive Health Services, the largest community health center in northeastern Oklahoma, will be offering flu shots to infants, children, teenagers, adults and seniors at its locations or Morton can visit an off-site location to provide flu vaccinations upon request. The flu season commonly peaks between December and February in the U.S.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), individuals from 6 months old and older should receive an annual flu vaccine. Individuals are encouraged to visit with their providers to determine their level of risk for contracting the flu.

“During the flu season, we want to be sure that our community has access to the flu shot for their own health and protection and for their families, friends and co-workers,” said Susan Savage, CEO of Morton Comprehensive Health Services.

Morton will provide different flu vaccinations based upon age, ranging from six (6) months old to 64 years of age and for seniors who are 65 years old and older.

The flu shots will be available during regular business hours at any of Morton’s locations. (See list below for specific locations.) An appointment is not necessary, but registration as a Morton patient will be required. All insurance coverage plans will be accepted.

If a local company or organization would like to provide its employees with flu shots, Morton can go to the place of business to administer the flu shots.
