Dr. Shavonda Pannell attended Jackson State University where she received her B.S. in Biology Pre-Physical Therapy and later received her Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree in April 2012 from Logan College of Chiropractic.
Dr. Pannell has received training and credentialing in Active Release Technique and utilizes it in her treatment of most soft tissue injuries. Dr. Pannell also works with her patients in the treatment of cumulative trauma disorders of the upper extremity, lower extremity, neck, and low back.
Dr. Pannell is the mother of 2 children, Jordan and Paris and the founder/coach of The Prancing Pearls of Excellence community dance team. She believes in not only making changes in the community’s health but in the youth as well. She enjoys spending time with family, dancing and educating others on the benefits of chiropractic care.
Dr. Pannell stated she loves “getting people back to doing what they weren’t able to do physically because they were in pain”.
Dr. Pannell also works with Athletes applying the active release treatment and has seen a tremendous amount of success with her patient’s ease of mobility and decrease in pain from this technique allowing them to compete at the top level in the specified sports.
Dr. Pannell enjoys spending time with family and educating others on the benefits of chiropractic care.
