Juneteenth is finally back on Greenwood. We have included the weekends’ full schedule of events and activities for you. Special thanks to the Tulsa Juneteenth committee for all of its work and efforts to prepare for this years Juneteenth celebration. There is everything from music to arts, dance and educational events to attend.

Jamal Dyer Tulsa Juneteenth board member stated: “I’m super excited,  Tulsa Juneteenth 2017 is back on Greenwood. It’s going to be a weekend full of laughter, live music, food, vendors, art, and plenty of entertainment. It’s going to be an epic weekend”.

Tulsa Juneteenth 2017 expects to see thousands of people many of whom will be visiting Tulsa for the first time. District 1 City Councilor Vanessa Hall-Harper stated: “I want to take this opportunity to welcome you to the 2017 Tulsa Juneteenth Celebration themed ”Heritage through Music & Art” held in our historic Greenwood  Business District! For those of you who might be visiting from outside the state, we are glad to see you here! We have a great deal of Pride for our Historic Greenwood District, also known as “Black Wall Street”. We hope that during your visit you get the opportunity to see some of the sights and places we regard as out best-kept secrets; the Greenwood Cultural Center, John Hope Franklin Reconciliation Park,  the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame, and the Living Arts Museum. I hope that your time her showcases our hospitality and small town feel”.
